South Plains Brewing Company

The self-taught brewer Jeffrey Scott Brown is behind the success of this microbrewery. During his upbringing in California Jeffrey arranged parties where he treated guests with his home-made beer. This compelled him to start a microbrewery in 2012 with “minimal budget but maximum passion”. Today the selection is wide and varied. The beers are high in alcoholic percentage with daring flavors, something you can also notice in the names of the beers e.g. “South Plains jus zombie – saison du mort” (zombie juice – season of the dead). At this moment the brewery is just a workshop but there are plans to open a bar at the location where both food and beer will be served. The beer is for now only available for purchase at Systembolaget and bars/restaurants in Skåne, with a couple in Gothenburg also having it in stock. In autumn South Plains arrange a yearly beer festival where around 25 local breweries are invited, the festival is held at Norbersgatan in Malmö and live bands perform along with the beer-drinking. Entrance to the festival is free of charge.

This brewery is not open for visitors - yet!
